Anti-Social Behaviour Team

The Burngreave New Deal Anti-Social Behaviour Team is committed to helping you if you are suffering nuisance and/or anti social behaviour. We offer our services to all people in the New Deal area whether you are a council tenant, housing association tenant, private tenant or if you own your own home. The staff working on the project are: two Housing Officers, Management and Administration support and Mediation Sheffield (MESH)

We deal with all types of nuisance and anti social behaviour including noise nuisance, youth nuisance, drug nuisance, prostitution, racial harassment and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender harassment. This is not a full list of problems that we deal with, but a selection of what issues we can deal with.

We can also give you advice on how to handle any matters if you do not want us to get involved. You can expect a friendly, efficient and confidential service from our team.

The Anti Social-Behaviour Team works closely with Mediation Sheffield (MESH) to solve neighbour disputes. MESH is an independent organisation and they have trained mediators who go out and visit neighbours and try to reach solutions to their problems without us getting involved. All cases that are appropriate will be referred to MESH before we take any action. You can also refer yourself to MESH if you have a dispute, which you think could be solved by talking.

For any matters of a criminal nature the New Deal area have its very own police team. They are located on the corner of Andover/Spital Street, Burngreave, Sheffield. You can also contact them by telephoning 0114 2039486 or 0114 2202020.
