The Apprenticeship for All programme is an innovative partnership project between Burngreave New Deal for Communities (BNDfC) and Sheffield City Council’s Employment Unit. Our main aim is to give the people of Burngreave the opportunity to get the skills, qualifications and work experience they need to gain employment.
Apprenticeships for All provides employment and training opportunities to residents of Burngreave, aged 16 – 60, who are looking for work. We have a wide range of Apprenticeship employment opportunities, covering many different areas of work (e.g. Administration & IT, Construction, Catering, Printing, plus many more).
The Apprenticeship programme includes work experience or an employment opportunity, and the option to study towards a vocational qualification. All employment opportunities and training will be directly relevant to the Apprentice's chosen area of work.
Additional support (such as language support, numeracy & literacy training and childcare) is also available, to give everyone the best chance of finding employment at the end of their Apprenticeship. This programme also offers an excellent opportunity for residents of Burngreave to access Apprenticeships within Sheffield City Council, providing the ideal routeway into employment with the Council.
Apprenticeships for All is funded from a variety of different sources, including the BNDFC initiative and the Learning and Skills Council South Yorkshire.
