Black History Month 2006

Black History Month has been celebrated across the UK every October for over 30 years, each year growing from strength to strength. Black History Month is a time which highlights and celebrates the achievements of the black community and uncover hidden history about our communities.

Many exciting events are happening accross Burngreave as part of Black History Month:

Launch Event, Ellesmere Green – International arts and food festival. Free food from different nationalities, also dance, performances and information.: 4:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday 30 September 2006; << events

Family Fun Day at Ellesmere Green. Fun for the whole family including rides, bouncycastles, games, food.: 3:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday 25 October 2006; << events
