All our courses and activities are free for families with a child under the age of 5 or who are expecting a new baby (apart from the Aquanatal group which costs £1.70 per session).

MONDAYS
Parent and Toddler Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1.30-3pm Term-time only.
Aquanatal and Baby Splash sessions, Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen Lane, 1.30-2.30pm. Meet at 1.20pm to allow time to get changed. Aquanatal sessions – get fit to music in a supportive environment with a qualified midwife. Baby Splash sessions are for babies from 3 months onwards who have had their first injection, and this group is open to children up to 5 and dads as well! You will also have an opportunity to speak to a midwife with any questions you may have after the session.
TUESDAYS
CAB Advice sessions, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.30-12pm, 9.30-10.30 – appointments, 10.30-12 – drop-in. No sessions on 4th November or 16th December. Access help and info from a Citizens' Advice Bureau worker on a wide range of issues, e.g. housing, benefits, debt, disability, consumer issues, immigration etc.
Mums and Tots Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 10am-12pm. Term-time only.
Conversation Class, The Furnival cafe, Verdon Street, 1-3pm. For parents who want to practise their English in a relaxed and informal setting!
Positive Parenting course, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-3pm. From 16th September to 18th November 2008 (no session during half-term week on 28th October). Learn how to bring out the best in your child by listening and understanding, praising and encouraging their efforts! Limited creche places available – contact the Children's Centre for info.
WEDNESDAYS
Family Support drop-in, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9am-12.30pm
Baby Cafe (drop-in), Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.30am-12.30pm
Breastfeeding Support Group, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.15-10am. Part of the Baby Cafe – get informal advice about how to get support whilst breastfeeding, find out how breastfeeding actually works, and make friends with other mums while your baby meets other babies! If you would like more support around breastfeeding you can also arrange to see one of our breastfeeding peer supporter at a more convenient time.
Burngreave Children's Centre Community Clinic, Burngreave Children's Centre, 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.20-3.30pm. Antenatal sessions with a midife (appointments and drop-in available). Health Visitor (drop-in) available from 10-11.30am.
Sheffield Information Link drop-in, Burngreave Children's Centre, 10am-12pm. On the 4th Wednesday of each month (22nd October, 26th November etc). Drop-in and see a Sheffield Information Link worker – you can get advice and information about areas such as childcare/nursery places, activities for children, education, careers and job vacancies in childcare/early years etc.
Baby Massage, Burngreave Children's Centre, 1-3pm. – This has now been CANCELLED due to staff restructuring, but we are hoping to restart Baby Massage from January 2009.

Fir Vale Community Clinic, Owlerbrook Children's Centre, 9.30-11am. Get support in a confidential and friendly way from a Health Visitor, Early Years worker, midwife offering baby massage and postnatal support (every week) and speech therapist (monthly). Baby massage is no longer available but we are hoping to reoffer it from January 2009.
Sheffield Information Link, Owlerbrook Children's Centre, 10am-12pm. On the 1st Thursday of each month (6th November, 4th December etc). See above (Wednesday) for more info.
