Businessmen and women in Burngreave were given tips on how to boost their company's potential at a local business support event.

Burngreave Business Forum, which is supported by Burngreave New Deal for Communities and Business in the Community, organised the event that was attended by more than 50 people.

The evening, which was held at Mama Training and Resource Centre, Spital Hill, Burngreave, included specialist advice on marketing.

BNDfC chief executive John Clark was among the speakers, telling the forum that it could play a crucial part in the regeneration of the area and explaining the support facilities that are on offer.

Saghir Ahmed, BNDfC Business and Enterprise Champion said: "The evening went extremely well and we've had lots of positive feeback.

"The business community in Burngreave demonstrated how committed they are to the continued success of the area.

“All of those who attended went away equipped with the knowledge of how to develop their business even further.”

Said Saghir: "The forum also provided a great opportunity for local businessmen and woman to meet, get to know each other and see if there are ways they can work together for the benefit of both companies.

“The evening was such a success that we are planning a bigger and better event for January.”
