Sheffield City Council are key to BNDfC's effort to regenerate the Burngreave Area. They are the most prominent of our partners, being:
BNDfC’s accountable body and guarantor
Represented on the BNDfC Partnership Board
Partners with BNDfC on the ‘Advancing Together’ agreement
BNDfC and Sheffield City Council have a number of agreements which set out how Sheffield City Council will support the work of BNDfC through base lining existing services and local recruitment to achieve quality services through partnership working, these agreements are called “Advancing Together”. The agreement encourages Sheffield City Council to think and act at a local level in Burngreave, and contribute expertise and capacity to assist BNDfC deliver its programme.
Sheffield City Council and BNDfC share the view that the successful regeneration of Burngreave through the work of BNDfC is vital for the people of Burngreave and for the city of Sheffield. Sheffield city council provide BNDfC with two packages of support:
A package of short term actions to achieve visible improvements on the ground in a number of key areas of service, in addition to activities funded by the Council’s planned mainstream services.
A package of long-term support to deliver major transformational projects, where the Council has the expertise, experience, and technical resources enabling BNDfC to deliver these major projects more quickly.
