Priority Area Outcomes

To reduce the employment gap between Burngreave and the city average.

To bring down the percentage of households with a household income of less than ₤5000 to 25% and to bring down the percentage of households with a household income of ₤8000 to 17.4% by year 10.

To increase the number of local residents with NVQ2 or above, working towards the city average of 52.1% by 2011.

To improve basic skills for 16 to 60 year olds by lifting literacy and numeracy skills to the city average by 2011.

To increase the number of new business start-ups, support for existing business and inward investment.
