Tuesday 2nd May 2006, 6.00-7.15pm
Venue: Verdon Street Recreation Centre
With Anna from HypeDance Company.
The organisers of Chance To Dance are running FREE dance workshops across the City. We want to attract people from the communities they happen in to come along and have a go at dancing – whatever their ability.
Why? Because dancing is fun and great exercise, it keeps you fit and is a great way of making new friends.
The session is free and open to anyone; simply turn up, wearing something you can dance in, and be prepared to kick off your shoes!
The session will be run by Anna from Hype Dance Company who has a huge amount of experience of teaching and her enthusiasm will certainly get people enjoying and following the steps. Simple and aimed at beginners, the sessions will also appeal to people already dancing who want to join in the fun.
People attending the workshop will be given information about activities in Sheffield city centre on Saturday 13th May (Chance To Dance day) to experience an even greater range of dance styles and find out more about classes they can join and keep up with their new found passion.
“Chance To Dance has been a well known fixture in the Sheffield diary for six years now and it’s always incredibly well attended but we are eager to encourage new people to enjoy the day and feel the benefits of dancing!” Maire McCarthy, Project Manager.
