Creative Burngreave has been funded from 2003-2006 to support and fund arts and cultural activities within Burngreave.
Creative Burngreave have funded over 50 arts projects that have been run by, and involved local people. These projects have covered a large range of artforms, including Dance, Drama, Music and Singing, Film-making, Painting and Printmaking, Craft and much more.
The project has trained many artists through the Artist Training Programme, which supports artists into working in schools and the community. Artists also build a personal portfolio and learn how to market themselves to potential employers. On completion of the Artist Training Programme, Artists recive an OCN Qualification in Building a Personal Portfolio.
Creative Burngreave also run a Mentoring Scheme which guides and encorages upcoming artists as well as positively influencing thier career aspirations.
