BNDfC have moved away from Themes and have identified four Priority Areas.

Arts, Culture and Media Projects
Green City Action Festivals and Events Project – Organises 4 Festivals around the area each year, including the award-winning Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival.
Burngreave Messenger – monthly community magazine delivered to all households in the area to encourage communication, inform residents about local activities and publicise local business and events.
Burngreave Voices – Project to involve local people of all ages and from all backgrounds in the celebration of the oral and local history of the area.
Creative Burngreave – small grants for arts activities; training courses for artists and placement of artists in schools and other community locations.
Film Screening – funding 4 local films; transferring archive film from different communities to up to date formats and showing films of local interest in a variety of outdoor locations.
Childcare Projects
Burngreave Childcare Consortium – subsidised childcare places at three local childcare providers, for parents and carers needing respite and entering training.
Childcare Strategy – Project to develop and implement a childcare strategy for the Burngreave area, supporting voluntary sector childcare providers; childminders; training of childcare workers and so on.
Advice and Support
Family Support – Delivering packages of support to families and children in the Burngreave New Deal area who need a little extra help.
Supporting Advice – Providing targeted advice provision to a range of communities in the Burngreave New Deal area in a number of settings.
Youth Projects
Listen to Us Youth Project – project to put on events for young people and refer them on to other provision in the area.
Ellesmere Youth Project – Detached Youth Work project working in the Ellesmere and Carwood area.
Pitsmoor Somali Youth Project – providing youth work sessions targeted at Somali young people.
BNDfC Internal Projects
Partnership Development Project – Pays for the hire of rooms for Burngreave New Deal for Communities Partnership Board meetings; Theme Group meetings and training events.
Community Rep Expenses – Pays the out of pocket expenses for volunteer Partnership Board members such as childcare; transport; stationery; subscription to regeneration publications and training.
BNDfC Communications – Allowing Burngrave New Deal to get its message across to the community and listen to concerns from the community through funding public meetings, publications, and a dedicated Communications Officer.
BNDfC Information Shop Revenue – funding the costs of the New Deal shop on Spital Hill and two workers to answer residents’ concerns about New Deal and provide other advice and signposting.
Communications and Information Vehicle – Display vehicle for Burngreave New Deal community events and for use by local community and voluntary groups at no cost.
Capacity Building Projects
Burngreave Grant Fund – grants from £250 to £25,000 for individuals and community groups to get involved in the regeneration of the area and improve the quality of life of local residents.
BCAT Organisational Development – funding the Burngreave Community Action Trust to support capacity building of local community organisations.
Yemeni Community Association Capacity Building – Supporting the organisational development and infrastructure costs of the Yemeni Community Association in order tat they can deliver a range of projects to the community.
Community Engagement Team – team of workers to organise community events for Burngreave New Deal for Communities and work in the community to ensure that local residents are aware of and able to benefit from the many opportunities New Deal provides.
