Jobcentre Plus is a government agency supporting people of working age from welfare into work, and helping employers to fill their vacancies. They are part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
The agency aims to increase the effective supply of labour by promoting work as the best form of welfare and helping unemployed and economically inactive people move into employment. They are responsible for providing benefits to those who require it, and to protect the benefits system from error, abuse and fraud.
BNDfC and Jobcentre Plus are working together to provide more and better job opportunities for Burngreave residents, promoting economic independence and helping to improve the wealth of the Burngreave area.
