Oral history training day

Would you like to learn the skills needed to interview people professionally and earn some money by recording interviews?

Come along to a one-day training course:

‘An Introduction to Oral History Interviewing’

Thursday 19th January, 9.30am–4.30pm.

At Burngreave Library, Spital Hill.

Free to all Burngreave residents.

This is a one day training course, aiming to introduce students to the requirements of interviewing and recording for oral history purposes. The course deals with preparation and planning interviews, the do's and dont's of interviewing (with a practical session), using equipment to make an oral history recording and transcribing interviews to paper.

This course is for anyone interested in the possibility of some paid work, recording interviews for the Burngreave Voices oral history archive.
