More details

Zion Train have been booked to return as headliners with special guest Tippa Irie on Vocals at this year's Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival which takes place in Burngreave, Sheffield, South Yorkshire on Sunday the 9th of July 2005.

Also on the main stage are Bhangra superstars Jinx and Manak – E as part of a Bhangra Showcase with Dhol Drummers and Dancers. Jinx are currently number 1 in the Asian album charts, and Manak-E are the most played act on Asian radio right now.

Other acts on the day are UK festival favourites Bison and Poke, the acts will appear on the new performance stage.

Both acts are from Sheffield and have played at Shambala and Glastonbury respectfully.

The event has a main stage which this year has been extended to feature specialist dance acts.

New for this year is a performance stage featuring music and cabaret. The rest of the acts are from in and around the local community ranging from all styles and genres. The event is in its eighth year and last year had over 8,000 people pass through the gates before a full scale evacuation due to a bomb scare three days after the London bombings.

There are also a whole host of other activities for the family, including kids rides, circus workshops, sporting activities and a huge trading market.

The day starts at 1pm and finishes at 6:30pm. The event is free to all.
