Bonfire Bonanza in Burngreave

A bonfire night celebration has been organised in Burngreave giving local residents a whole host activities to get involved with.

The Burngreave Bonfire Night Celebration event, organised by Burngreave New Deal for Communities and Burngreave Sports Network with support from a number of partners, will be held on Petre Street playing fields on Saturday 5 November.

The event will start at 1pm with performances by DJ's and music artists on a community stage and main stage. Fairground rides, rock climbing wall, bouncy castles, sports activities, games and competitions will also keep the youngsters occupied during the day.

But it is in the evening the real action starts! At 6.15pm there will be a young children's visual firework display. From 6.30pm there will be fire eaters and fire jugglers with the main attraction starting at 7.30pm – the largest fireworks display ever seen in Burngreave!

The bonfire will be lit from 8pm with the event ending at 10pm.

The other partners who organised the event include north refugee housing, the Burngreave area panel, family services, streetwork project, non stop foundation, Creative Burngreave and the Ellsemere youth project.
