SADACCA, The Wicker
Due to the particular requirements of this course in terms of use of paints and ventilation, finding a suitable venue was a challenge. After exploring various options along with Tony Tingle at ACL, we decided to run this course in the warehouse space at the back of SADACCA.
An Outreach worker at Burngreave Adult Learners Project (BALP) who was involved in choosing the successful courses wanted this course to run as she was working with a group of nineteen year old men that were really interested in spray can art. Unfortunately this group fell through. Nevertheless we managed to get eight people booked on to the course.
The first session had to be cancelled because of the snow. After the fourth session it was decided between Garden Rooms and A.C.L. (the organisation funding the course) that the course should not continue as only two people were actually attending, which was under the minimum attendance numbers.
