Project Report

Working in partnership with Creative Burngreave and Sheffield City Council’s Adult Learning Team (ACL), The Garden Rooms delivered a project jointly funded by Burngreave Small Grants (BNDfC) and the Adult Community Learning Unit (SCC). The project comprised of two Creative Learning Events connected to a series of four Creative Courses for Adults.

The project took place between November 2004 and April 2005 and it aimed to provide creative learning opportunities for the communities of Burngreave.

“I wanted to do the textiles course but was too late to book on to that. I did the photography course instead. I really didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did! It has given me confidence to use a camera and take good photos” Jean, Photography Participant

“A good course with high levels of learner engagement, evidence of tutor expertise being used wisely and sensitively to support the group. Good use of resources and learner support with crèche” Alison McKenzie, ACL Assessor for Mosaic Course

“Support received was great (Thanks Tony and Sally). The group was well-motivated and the course had good attendance. Learning outcomes were met and amazing project work produced” Imogen Singer, Textiles Tutor.
